Helping organisations support employees through pregnancy and baby loss.
Quietly, carefully, and properly.
Specialist coaching for individuals. Organisational consultancy for employers. Informed by 20 years of professional expertise and lived experience.

I’m Clare Campion, founder and director of Campion Coaching & Consultancy.
I help organisations support employees through pregnancy and baby loss, and I help individuals find their way forward after loss, career change, or feeling stuck.
I am a specialist. Not a generalist who also does this work. This is what I do, and it shapes everything about how I work with both individuals and organisations.
Hello and Welcome
About Me
I spent 20 years at Manchester Metropolitan University in roles spanning strategy, marketing, collaborative projects management, and organisational development.
I co-chaired the university’s Parents and Carers staff network for four and a half years, growing it to over 250 members. I led annual Baby Loss Awareness Week events, created the organisation’s pregnancy and baby loss guidance for staff and managers, and partnered with Tommy’s charity on a recorded webinar for HR professionals.
That experience taught me something that shapes all of my work now: when an employee experiences pregnancy or baby loss, the quality of their employer’s response depends almost entirely on whether the organisation has a system in place, or whether it relies on the individual manager to improvise.
Most organisations are still relying on the improvisation. Not through negligence. Through the absence of a framework that would support them to get it right.
That is the gap I work in. I developed the Campion Workplace Pregnancy Loss Implementation Framework™ specifically to bridge it: moving organisations from policy on paper to practice in reality, through manager capability, communication pathways, return-to-work design, staff network development, and ongoing review.
Alongside my organisational work, I also have lived experience of baby loss. It informs everything I do in this space. It means I understand the distance between what organisations intend and what employees actually experience. And it means I can hold sensitive conversations with a depth of understanding that goes beyond professional training alone.
My work sits across three connected areas:
Pregnancy and baby loss workplace consultancy
Helping employers build the systems, policies, training, and culture to support employees through loss. This includes the Implementation Framework, manager training, policy development, and ongoing advisory.
Staff network and ERG consultancy
Designing, building, and sustaining effective staff networks, with particular expertise in pregnancy and baby loss networks, which require fundamentally different design principles from other employee resource groups.
Coaching
1:1 coaching for individuals navigating grief, career change, return to work, confidence, boundaries, or leadership development. Trauma-aware, somatic, and values-led.

Partnerships
I consult to The Worst Girl Gang Ever Foundation, and work alongside other charities in the pregnancy and baby loss space. These partnerships inform my understanding of the lived experience landscape and ensure my organisational work is grounded in the realities families face.
At the core of everything I do is a belief that pregnancy loss workplace support failures are organisational design problems, not individual empathy problems. The solution is not more awareness. It is better systems. Built quietly, carefully, and properly.
If that approach resonates, I’d welcome a conversation.
