Your managers are holding things they were never trained for.
Grief. Loss. Family crisis. Illness. Conversations with no script and no easy ending. Holding the Holders is the training that helps them carry it, without it costing them.
When a member of staff experiences something devastating, they often come to their manager first. Not HR. Not a helpline. Their manager.
That manager absorbs the weight, finds words in real time, navigates what the organisation requires, and then gets on with their own work. With very little to draw on, and very little coming back.
This is a capability gap. It is also a wellbeing risk. And it is solvable.
I go where the awkward conversations are.
So your people don't have to navigate them alone.
Every organisation has conversations nobody wants to have.
The manager who doesn't know what to say to someone who's had a miscarriage. The HR Director who knows the policy isn't working but can't name why. The staff network that has been asking for real support for years and stopped believing it would come. The leader who understands that culture change is needed but doesn't know what the first step looks like.
I'm the person who walks into that room. Not with a clipboard and a generic framework. With 20 years of organisational reality, a specific methodology, and the willingness to have the conversation properly.
Quietly. Carefully. Properly.

I’m Clare Campion, founder and director of Campion Coaching & Consultancy.
I help organisations support employees through pregnancy and baby loss, and I help individuals find their way forward after loss, career change, or feeling stuck.
I am a specialist. Not a generalist who also does this work. This is what I do, and it shapes everything about how I work with both individuals and organisations.
Hello and Welcome
About Me
I spent 20 years at Manchester Metropolitan University in organisational development — co-chairing a 250-member Parents and Carers staff network, building staff support structures, and learning what genuinely changes culture and what just looks like it does.
Campion Coaching & Consultancy was founded in June 2025, with pregnancy and baby loss as the deliberate lead specialism, not because it was a gap in the market, though it is. Because it is the work that matters.
I have since expanded into manager support through the Holding the Holders programme, staff network consultancy, and leadership coaching, all grounded in the same principle: the organisations that get the difficult things right are the ones that build genuine human capability, not just compliant process.
Values
Kindness. Psychological safety. Authenticity. Empathy. Compassion. Honesty about what is hard. The belief that organisations can do better, and that doing better begins with naming what is actually happening.
I do not work with people who want to tick a box. I work with people who want to build something that holds.

Partnerships
I consult to The Worst Girl Gang Ever Foundation, and work alongside other charities in the pregnancy and baby loss space. These partnerships inform my understanding of the lived experience landscape and ensure my organisational work is grounded in the realities families face.
At the core of everything I do is a belief that pregnancy loss workplace support failures are organisational design problems, not individual empathy problems. The solution is not more awareness. It is better systems. Built quietly, carefully, and properly.
If that approach resonates, I’d welcome a conversation.
